Description

Orca is formerly known as “Oprah” from Jerry Halvorson’s program. She is gentle and broke to ride. I am offering her with a repurchase option only so if she is sold again, she will be repurchased by me.

Preference will be given to a home where I can know she will never end up at an auction in her old age, etc. She can be bred a few more years, or just trail ride. She may need a tuneup, but I have walked around riding her and have not had any problems in my pasture. She has been perfect just in a dog bone snaffle, but I know horses can be different in different places.

It’s taken me a long time to determine my priorities in terms of horses and I am focusing on SP6 smaller horses now, but I will always be attached to Orca because she is a very good horse and sweet. It would probably be impossible to find another one like her. She is curly, KRT25. She is always an attention-getter and has that majestic Percheron quality to her.

I would NEVER sell her, but I just have too many. She is one of the good ones.

Buyer Recommendations

While Curly Horse Country cannot give legal advice, we do have some general recommendations for buying and selling horses: Curly Horse Country strongly recommends that a Vet-Check or Pre-Purchase Exam should ALWAYS be performed on any horse being considered for purchase by the buyer's Equine Veterinarian of choice. Always be sure to specifically ask the seller if the horse has any soundness issues, vices, or other problems. You should never complete a transaction without first writing down the terms of the deal and have each party sign it. If you can't afford a lawyer to draft up a contract, you still should write down the terms of the deal in plain English and get it signed. Any buyer or seller that is hesitant or resists is usually a sure sign of a potential problem.
